The Challenge
Mother Earth is in a global water crisis. For many women and children across the globe, drinking water is caught in rainwater jars or taken directly from the ground. Untreated, this water is contaminated with bacteria, organisms, and chemicals that run through the human digestive system, often resulting in death. According the to the World Health Alliance, every 8 seconds a child dies from diseases related to exposure to contaminated water.

At New Dream Foundation, we embrace this situation confronting children and their families because as connected spiritual beings this crisis affects each one of us. We believe every person on the planet deserves to have clean water to drink.

As a direct response to this worldwide struggle, we set a goal to bring clear water technology into international villages with need of this life saving technology.


Our Response—Pure Water to Two Villages in El Salvador
Sometimes we are guided to better responses than we might have originally planned. After encountering multiple challenges in creating a project that received seed funding from the Lawrence Foundation, we were guided to a Rotary water project in El Salvador already underway.

In this project, a solar powered ultra-violet purification system will purify water for two villages, El Roble and Palo Grande, serving just under 1,000 people. Complete with an education program, villagers will be trained in proper hygeine, ensuring that the benefits of pure water make a significant health difference in their lives.

With the Lawrence Foundation's blessing, New Dream gave the funding we had received to the Canton Rotary in Detroit, Michiganto help them fund the project in El Salvador. Treasurer, Judy Cole, was able to present the check to Rotarian, Wayne Titus III in person.

Water is precious to all of us. Every child deserves to be drinking pure water. In addition to our monthly ceremonies, where we bless the water of this planet, it is our delight to help a few more people in the world enjoy the benefits of good, clean drinking water. Prayers + Action = Love.

You can help by making your own contributino. Donations to the water project can be made through Rotary's partner organization CoCoDA http://www.cocoda.org/. Select the Join/Give tab at the top of the page. Just prior to finalizing the donation there is a place to enter special instructions, such as specifying you would like your donation to go to the El Roble / Palo Grande Water Project.

Trees for the Future
When we travel to ceremonies and spiritual events, we are making a carbon footprint on the earth. SpiritQuest Council member, John Brown, encouraged us to mitigate our carbon imprint by giving to a non-profit that helps restore planetary health. A percentage of the fees we collect for SpiritQuest are used to offset our footprint. We chose to make our donation to Trees for the Future.

Intuitively, Ariann Thomas, New Dream President, chose Haiti as our funding location. This was just before the devastating earthquake that took place there. Here you can see a Discovery Channel program, featuring the work of Trees for the Future's Haiti Coordinator, Timote and his trainees, as they plant trees for their future. We are delighted that New Dream was able to help our Mother Earth and the people fo Haiti.

Global Community Web-Site
Because Foundation members live throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, and the UK, we recognized the need for a global interactive web site where members can easily access information on the Sacred Feminine, and more importantly get to know and make connections with each other.

The global web site currently includes such features as weekly Reflections Meditations; Awakening Through the Sacred Feminine Articles; Calendar of Meditations, Ceremonies and Classes; Synchronicities Stories, Namaste News, a Virtual Prayer Circle and articles posted by some of our contributing writers. New Dream is the place to connect with like-hearted people, dedicated to the emergence of the Divine Feminine within us personally and globally.
