Experiences at SpiritQuest

I just wanted to let you know that if it was not for your vision our self-realizations would have never taken place (at least not so soon in our lives). It might have even taken several life times for most of us. I will never forget June 2007 because for the first time I felt a spiritual connection to myself and everyone around me. It was also the first time in my life others saw in me what I see in myself. It allowed me to embrace my potential .... If it was not for everyone and everything at SpiritQuest I would have continued to doubt it for who knows how long. Thank you for guiding me back to my center and grounding me once again to everything I once found sacred — family, friends (community) and nature. I have taken many classes/workshops in the past 15 years or so and some were very amazing and famous teachers. I had worked with this group of women (elder initiates) for a few months myself, talking on the phone in class. I have never before, however, experienced such dramatic shifts in women as during these vision quests done in silence, while supported by a group of people daily. Being immersed in Nature herself and awakened by the birds, beginning the day with singing and dancing with prayer, tending the amazing sacred fire, preparing and serving food, talking circles with the talking stick, helping each other. A group of people combined with some courageous women, CAN create miraculous, incredible shifts I have never exprienced before in such a short time! I felt so honored to be a part of this life transforming experience for each of these women and everyone of us supporting them as well. We were all transformed from strangers to intimate family in one week! It's hard to put into words how SpiritQuest has influenced my entire self. This year was my 7th year and it was the most powerful experience that I have had with SpiritQuest. I was head of security and it was my gift to be of service to the community, the quester and the elder initiates. This year has really opened me up to be of service not just in the security arena but in the spiritual as well. I was honored by the women of the SpiritQuest community and it was a GREAT PRIVILEGE to be honored by them as a man; which has never happened in my life, and which was something that I had longed for but didn't know I was longing for it until the honoring ceremony happened.

I have informed people that were attending SpiritQuest for the first time that when they leave they will not be the same. How true that is for me every year that I go. Attending SpiritQuest will change your life. Hope to see new faces next year. Love in Spirit. — White Horse
